So, LUISAVIAROMA and Vogue teamed up recently to show some of the most iconic designer looks on the runway. I just couldn’t help but be in awe with the selection curated by Edward Enninful, British Vogue Editor-in-Chief. From Moncler to Alexander McQueen, there were some gorgeous looks in the show. Which do you like? You can see more of the show here.
Good afternoon! How have you been? I spotted some of the cutest new Spring handbags to go right along with this change in the weather. From Cult Gaia to Alexander McQueen, you just must check them out. What have you been wearing this Spring?
I’m just loving plaid for Fall 2015. Since it’s still really hot this plaid cutout dress makes the perfect transition from summer to fall. I wore it with a simple purple clutch. I got it from a small shop in Soho and it’s no longer on the market but you should definitely check out this Alexander McQueen plaid dress, Rag & Bone jeans, and Equipment shirtdress.
New York Fashion Week is off to the races. And with current weather conditions, you might slip and fall on the ice while you make your way to wherever you’re going. So, why not an amazing sweater or sweatshirt? Who doesn’t love a big fuzzy sweater? I am in love with my big fuzzy Raga cow print sweater. It’s warm, it’s comfortable. What more could I ask for?
I finally posted more of my artwork on the blog! Check it out now. More artwork will be coming and prints will be available so make sure to bookmark the ones that you really love!
This past weekend I took photos with my Songs of Freedom painting and got into a ‘blue’ spirit with sequined shorts from English Rose. I got them from Natre, an amazing, moderately priced boutique in Soho (thank you Natre)! Anyway, I just love the shorts. They’re great for a not-so-casual day or girl’s night out. They’re very comfortable too. I paired them with a black silk top and glitzy accessories and a chunky ring.
This week I stopped by Mahnolo Blahnik’s unveiling of his exclusive Spring BB Collection at Bergdorf Goodman. Impeccably dressed and wearing some beautiful blue shoes himself, he signed autographs and shoes for customers while attendees toasted champagne and nibbled on macaroons. Especially made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character on Sex and the City, Manolo Blahnik has become a household name since joining the Bergdorf family in 1987.
Last week I also attended the later Nolcha NYFW Show in midtown and caught works created by Studio 6th Sense, Adolfo Sanchez, Andressa Leão. There were some very sexy pieces that I just adored but wondered how I would wear given that they were see-through! With those you would just have to get some good nude underwear. What do you think of the dress above?
Andressa Leão turned up the pretty and feminine factor with some very beautiful dresses.
And, Studio 6th Sense and Adolfo Sanchez turned up the sex factor with skin-tight leather dresses and see through fabric.
I saw some great stuff, met some great people and became a fan of Foco Coconut Water. I also spotted rapper Wacka Flocka Flame who posed for photographs and left the building driving an absolutely gorgeous Rolls Royce. Others were spotted like singer Cocoa Bella, Jersey Shore star Sammi Sweetheart, actress Dawn Olivieri and Mercedes Javid aka “MJ” from Shahs of Sunset. Nolcha held a brunch and fashion lounge the next day that I quickly caught during lunchtime last week. Adolfo Sanchez told me that Alexander McQueen inspired him and his headwear in his runway show.
I’m totally on to this new bag from Proenza Schouler’s PS1 Collection. Take this graffiticovered bag to the streets with some leather pants, sneaker heels and one of those skull shirts and jewelry from Alexander McQueen. Check out some ideas to mix and match in my Funky Street Style collection here.
Now here’s a take on a sneaker heel. Amazing work. J’Adore these hot pink booties from Alexander McQueen. Do these with some soft, slouchy pants and you will have a great comfortable and street look to go. Check them out here.
