Garden Life: Flowers and Even Strawberries for Spring/Summer 2024 Runway Shows

Good morning! Have you been watching the fashion month shows? I couldn’t help but notice the floral trend on the runway. Yes, April showers bring may flowers but it’s defintely present on the runway along with the see-through trend. And I see plus-size is being included more and more as well.

I’ve always liked flowers as I used to help my mom plant tulips at my house in Washington, D.C. We also had a cherry blossom tree that would just be gorgeous right around my birthday. Check out my artwork shop, especially my recent Flowers Everyday painting.

Anyway, check out more from the runways below!

Fringed Shoes and Accessories at the Ulla Johnson FW 2023 Show

Fringe has been on the runway this season. So have cutouts and sequins. But fringe is certainly making statements this Fall/Winter 2023 New York Fashion Week. Ulla Johnson showed her gorgeous garments and I just fell in love with some of the accessories on the runway. From tie-up flats to bejeweled heels, Ulla Johnson definitely made a statement. What are your favorite details on the runway this season?

Lions on Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Spring 2023 Show

Happy New Year 2023! I hope you are off to a good start. I couldn’t resist but to talk about the lions on the Elsa Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring 2023 runway show. Supposedly there was some controversy over if the lions’ heads were real- don’t worry they were not real at all. But I’ll tell you one thing, you wear this and you will command a room. Check out how Kylie Jenner styled it above and what has been seen on the runway.

Mark Fast London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

Happy London Fashion Week! So far I’ve been loving the Mark Fast Spring/Summer 2020 Collection shown in London today. He took some fashion risks and coupled that with some great creativity and I’m impressed. Needless to say, there’s a bunch of clothes I want to wear from the collection. What did you think of it?

Black and White on the Runway for Fall/Winter 2019

Jeremy Scott

So black and white are a classic color combination. But who knew we would spot so much of the combo on the runway for the Fall/Winter 2019? While there has definitely been a good bit of color injected into the season, we’ve seen almost entire collections like Jeremy Scott feature the classic color combination. Longchamp, Area and more featured the color combo. See more below!

Bows and Animal Print at Alexandre Vauthier Paris SS 2019 Couture Week

Paris Spring/Summer 2019 Couture Week is the stuff of creative dreams. I mean, perhaps couture does not sell as well as ready-to-wear but I hope couture never goes anywhere. And for those of you that scoff and say who would wear that?? Well, try going outside of your comfort zone sometimes and re-envisioning what you wear. It is 2019 after all.

Alexandre Vauthier’s PCW SS 19 runway show was absolutely amazing! From the bows to the animal print, I was just so inspired. Bows are actually a big thing on the runway this week. From Christian Dior to Giambattista Valli and more, bows have been all over the runway. I’m here for the feminine addition. Anyway, check out more photos from the show below!

Bright Red on the Runway for New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018

Oscar de la Renta

The New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 Collections have featured many bright colors, especially bright red. It seems that every designer this season has some kind of red in their collection. I guess it’s time to refresh that black and grey that we always have in our fall/winter wardrobes and spice it up with some color. Check out more of these bright red designs below.

Delpozo NYFW F/W 17 Handbags

The handbags on the runway for this past New York Fashion Week’s Delpozo Fall/Winter 2017 show were just gorgeous! The detail on these are beautiful, I can’t wait to see them retail. Delpozo is one of my favorite brands, they are always very creative. Check out more of the bags below!
