Yesterday I went to church in my Ralph Lauren gold metallic skirt, JW Anderson flats and my Karl Lagerfeld handbag. We didn’t get any lights up on the house but we did get a Christmas tree, and it’s perfect. What are you doing for the Holidays?

How have you guys been? I haven’t been so well at all, it’s like I’ve been under siege. But, yesterday, I was able to support the West Palm Beach Chapter of The Links Inc.’s White Rose fundraiser event. They raise money annually for some of their initiatives, particularly scholarships for young black children. Education and exposure is so important.
I wore a vintage red sequined Dress the Population dress along with a black face mask and boa. Everyone looked great and we all enjoyed a three-course meal along with dancing.

Good morning! How was your Turkey Day? We cooked smothered turkey wings, mac-n-cheese, collard greens, string beans, stuffing and candied yams and I am still full! I also got a gift of chitlins over rice, excited to have them (yea, I eat them lol). Anyway, it’s Black Friday and the deals are plentiful. Greetings, y’all! Today is the day, Election Day. The day we’ve been waiting for. The day to change history. Have you been to the polls yet? Do you know who you’re voting for? This is a day when your voice can be heard for taxes, businesses, reproductive freedom and so much more. Who says a woman can’t be President? By the way, make sure you are prepared to vote and are familiar with your ballot before you go to the polls (you can check out it out here). So, Olivier Rousteing of Balmain thinks that “…the face is the sexiest part of a woman’s body…” and it shows in the latest runway show for Spring/Summer 2025. From the bold lines and silhouettes to the beading and accessories, Balmain’s spring/summer 25 show is one of my favorites of the season. Some of the accessories have lipstick and perfume bottles incorporated into the design. What a genius collection, see more below.

Well, happy summer! Global warming is definitely a thing as it is piping hot outside. The Florida sun is like a sauna radiator. Anyway, did you watch the BET Awards last night? It’s always great to see black people doing great things. Usher received the Lifetime Achievement Award while newer artists like Tyla from South Africa were recognized as well.

So, this fashion month Alexander McQueen showcased some strong, odd shapes and silhouettes on the runway for Fall/Winter 2024. I’m just loving the experimentation with shapes- widened hips, different necklines and broadened shoulders. Below shows a great padded shoulder and broadened shoulders from the men and women’s Spring 2024 show. And I just love some of the oversized sweaters and coats that were on the runway as well. What do you think? Would you try wearing any of these shapes?

So, how was your weekend? I recently picked up this Versace crop top (similar here) that I paired with some Naked wardrobe faux leather leggings (similar spanx here) and Loeffler Randal white sandals. I think the outfit is so cute, perfect for the beginning of Spring. There are some gorgeous Versace leggings in the fashion shop as well.

So, happy New York Fashion Week! On the Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter 2024 runway, furry bags and shoes were included in many of the looks. Other brands like Louis Vuitton (pictured on Kim Kardashian below) have picked up on the trend as well. I found a few fur boots (below) that you can grab now, check them and other looks from the Moncler runway.
