Flowers Everyday

(c) Malinda Knowles, “Flowers Everyday”

I completed a new painting entitled “Flowers Everyday.” There’s nothing to kick up the romance like fresh flowers everyday. And, don’t we all want some love. Anyway, you can grab some cool items that feature this painting if you like it. And there’s even more here (t-shirts, etc). Enjoy!

River Flows Mini Skirt

New Year, new skirt! Not sure if you saw my Instagram stories last year but check out my River Flows mini skirt available on Redbubble.

Problems arise but you have to keep it pushing, don’t believe rumors. Anyway, over the holidays I spent some time in church celebrating Christmas and took some time to relax. Anyway, abstract painting is something I’ve always wanted to try and while I admit I’ve been a bit busy, please enjoy this River Flows mini skirt.

Stay tuned for more this year on the blog.

Basquiat Tees depicting African Art

Good afternoon! I recently stopped by the Palm Beach Gardens mall and came across these beautiful t-shirts and sweatshirts at Forever 21. Jean-Michel Basquiat was a brilliant artist and these tops really express so much movement. I see tortured souls, African art pieces and royalty when I look at this merchandise. Supposedly, Basquiat failed art classes but look at the value on his pieces now. That just goes to show you that you should always continue following your gifts no matter what. How do you like them?

Papier-mâché Candle Box

TGIF to you! I recently had some down time and with my artsy self, created a papier-mâché candle box that I plan on gifting to someone special soon. I love candles, aromatherapy and even soft sounds in the background (like the ocean). There’s nothing like a beautiful box to carry a potent and lovely candle to light up a room. As you can see below, I have a collection of candles mostly from Paddywax. The basil and cucumber one is one of my favorites. You can get one of these boxes from your local craft store or here. Just cut up tissue paper and use clear adhesive. Let me know if you make one!

River Flows Painting

Good evening everyone! I just added my River Flows painting to the site. I created it last year but hadn’t put it up. I just love the color blue and went on an abstract tip to create this painting. I love the ocean and water so simply recreated a bird’s eye view of land. The black is a target and the red is a dock. Don’t ask how these things come to me but I hope you enjoy. Oh, and if you really love it, there are prints, pillows, masks and more (as seen below) that you can buy here.

Sincerely,

M2 The Making

Hi everyone! I want to introduce M2 to you. It was to come out a little earlier this Spring/Summer but with the virus I waited around to introduce it. If you’ve seen my latest post, I have been going through a lot but one must keep the faith. These clothes are beautiful and inspired by my “Sunset on a Florida Parking Lot” painting. They are available in different sizes here. We worked hard down in Miami earlier this year and I hope you love them!

Scorn

Happy Saturday. This sketch came to me recently. I don’t know if it’s other worlds speaking to me or just an idea. I am unfortunately a victim of domestic violence and I heard it was on the rise with the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Couples should not hit, threaten, rape, assault or exhaust one another. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely believe in self-defense and justice. The angry emoji shows some of the anger and resentment that I have. But, hey, we are all a work in progress.

We all must remember that intimate partner and family relationships are precious. And, they should be treated that way.

What do you think about the rise in domestic violence and how do you like the drawing? Let me know in the comments and have a good rest of your weekend.

Sincerely,

Paige Denim Overalls and Walk to The Beach Face Mask

Happy Friday! I know there’s a lot going on in the country right now and life can be overwhelming, but you have made it to the weekend. Best to take good care of yourself, whatever you have to do.

In order to help keep you safe and healthy, I’ve developed some cute masks that have found their way to the artwork shop. Yesterday I wore my Paige Denim overalls (similar SJYP here) and Walk to the Beach face mask to run a few errands. Why not collect several masks and enjoy wearing them with different outfits?

Sincerely,
