What The F*cK Hell Been Goin On

   

Hey y’all, how are you doing? Know it’s been a while. What the f*ck hell been going on you say? Everything. I’ve been keeping it low key this summer. A few trips to the beach with my boo, dog park with my Vivi and throwing down in the kitchen. Still running from a domestic violence offender I saw a a few times in 2011. Chile. There’s a lot of R. Kelly’s out there, the police turn often turn a blind eye and expect women and children to fend for themselves until there’s some kind of public outcry. 

Other than that, I’ve been wearing jean shorts because it is extremely hot in Florida. Also, copped this ALC Simone Studded Leather handbag which is actually on sale. Paired it with this denim Good American dress that has proved to be a really good buy. This past weekend I went out to a new club downtown and wore this cute JLorraine Designs polka dot jumpsuit. It was so comfortable and cute. I also pulled out my Sammy B. butterfly crop top and recently wore this cute see-through Fashion Nova bodysuit for my birthday this past April. It was cute for the occasion. Shout out to Elisabetta’s Ristorante downtown, their pasta and food is delicious. Peep more photos below. What have y’all been wearing in this heat?
 

Mariah Butterfly Bralette

How are you doing? So, recently I copped this Mariah Butterfly Bralette from Sammy B. designs as I’ve been her fan for years. It was actually sold out and I had to wait for it to come back into stock. But when it did, I was one of the first ones buying! Samantha Black is a Jamaican designer that lives and produces out of New York City. I went to one of her fashion shows and heard of her through Harlem Fashion Row. 

I never realized that racism was so rampant and horrible in the fashion industry until I got in it. I remember a teacher telling me while I was in school at the Fashion Institute of Technology that she would never support me because I am not white. And, most recently, I’ve been approached about lightening my skin and never reporting any wrongdoing by whites to the police. It’s really sad that we are still here as a society, but I love supporting my fellow black designers like Samantha Black.

Date Night

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope your day is full of romance and flowers. Remember to treasure that significant other that you have or just love yourself if you’re flying solo. I just love this Sammy B. leopard print dress that I picked up recently. It’s perfect for date night. The dress goes great with a nice pair of black heels, I wore my Steve Madden fringly sandals. This summer I’ve been wearing my vintage Sammy B neon green crop top. It’s perfect for the heat and fashion-forward enough to get you noticed. She makes a lot of fun clothes but pay attention, they sell out fast. Sammy B. did Project Runway and has been churning out exciting fashions ever since. Would you do a crop top?
