Girly Summer Picnic: Fave Looks from Anna Sui NYFW Spring/Summer 2025 Show

So happy New York Fashion Week! I am down here in Florida working but am following digitally. Anna Sui showed a beautiful Spring/Summer 2025 collection full of ruffles, bows, straw handbags and curled hair. I just loved the looks and I couldn’t help to think some of them are perfect for a spring or summer picnic. Cutouts and see-through are still on trend for next spring and Anna Sui partook in the trend with the below blue and white dress. She also featured a few dressed perfect for a cocktail party or even prom for the kids. What shows have you been loving thus far?

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter Hot Pants

malinda_knowles_PEM_2988

marc jacobs hot pantsBy now, you’ve probably heard that we are experiencing an extremely warm winter here in New York. It’s been about 65 degrees and I am praying that it stays that way! In honor of this beautiful weather, I decided to try those impractical-looking hot pants you’ve seen on the runway for the fall/winter? I first spotted them in Marc Jacob’s Fall 2013 fashion show (with the giant sun below) and thought they were fabulous but in that snow, I just didn’t see it happening.

Well, I love these Marc Jacobs hot pants and you can pair them with those see-through skirts to make a bold statement. Not for the faint of heart but absolutely fabulous.

Lady Gaga’s Flying Dress, ARTPOP, and Art on the Runway

artpopSo Lady Gaga’s new album ARTPOP recently came out and I’m curious to know why she named her album ARTPOP. In any case, I’m loving the references to traditional artwork and her recent fashion (or shall I say costumes?).Anyway, Gaga has always pushed the boundaries and with the world’s first flying dress, she has now made history

From her meat dress to futuristic costumes, Gaga is shifting the paradigm on what we think is wearable. And it seems like either Marc Jacobs and the Gaga team had a chat before the Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 Show or Louis Vuitton simply took some inspiration from Gaga’s surreal approach to fashion. Do you think one day we’ll all be wearing clothing that can take flight? It’s possible. Or now that see-through has become the norm (at least on the runway), how about if we all just started wearing body paint or at least tried to get into one of these Louis Vuitton costumes or shall I say jumpsuits
