These Fall 2026 Prada Shoes at Milan Fashion Week

Hey y’all, how are you doing? Well, yep, it’s Fashion Month. Where we check out the latest styles for the upcoming Fall. What have been some of your favorite shows? I’ve owned one pair of black Mary Jane Prada shoes from one of my beloved shops Bergdorf Goodman and they have lastest me over a decade. Even though it might be a bit pricier, buying designer items are sometimes really worth it.

Anyway, I really loved the delicate balance of floral details, ribbons and fur in the recent Fall 2026 Milan Fashion Week Prada runway show. The blossomy print on some of the socks and skirts reminded me of my “Bougainvilleas on a Sunday” painting. Flowers can really soften a Fall wardrobe. As I bootstrap for my blog and M2, make sure you check out some of my “Bougainvilleas on a Sunday” merchandise.

What do you think of these Prada shoes and designs for the upcoming Fall?

Stella Jean’s Hand-Painted Haitian Olympic Costumes

So, have you been watching the Winter Olympics in Milan? I’ve caught a few segments here and there. Must say I’m kind of into figure skating on ice. They jump and twirl and attempt seemingly dangerous moves and do it with such perfection and grace. I just say wow.

Well, I was really in awe of the Haitian Olympic competitor’s hand-painted uniforms. There’s only two Haitian athletes competing- Richardson Viano, an alpine skier, and Stevenson Savart, a cross-country skier. Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean created these beautiful costumes that really tell a Haitian story. She also designed the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris

The costumes were based on a 2006 painting of the formerly enslaved revolutionary Toussaint Louverture riding a horse by the Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié. Stella Jean actually had to redo her original design after being told it did not comply with International Olympic Committee rules on athletic expression. The IOC guidelines stipulate: “No kind of demonstration or political, religious, or racial propaganda is permitted in any Olympic sites, venues or other areas.” So, they redid the design to only feature the horse.

They also added a traditional headwrap symbolizing how enslaved Africans were forced to cover their hair. Stella worried that the rain forecast might dissolve the paint and reveal Toussaint’s face underneath. In any case, I just love these costumes. What do you think?

We Still Have a Dream

Well, it’s Martin Luther King Jr. day. January has been flying by and here we are. Do you still have a dream? I know I do. I was lucky to be raised in Washington, D.C. at an international elementary school that taught me at an early age to appreciate different races, cultures and religions. I learned Spanish and English at the same time and I truly appreciate my family for sending me to such a school.

I know a lot of people aren’t lucky enough to say the same. They learn from an early age to discriminate against others for the color of their skin, religion, where they live or who their grandparents were. It’s unfortunate but I do believe that even if you were raised to be some kind of bigot, you can change. You don’t have to be like your parents on grandparents.

In this age where the President is focused on forcing illegal immigrants out of the country, creating chaos and even deaths, let’s all remember that we all bleed the same color. And, there is no skin color differential in heaven or hell. So, today we honor you Dr. King. What are you doing to make this world a better place?

Sincerely,

Flashback Friday: Foul Play Halloween

Happy Halloween y’all! What are you doing tonight? Well, today, I’m flashing back to three  years ago when I was a referee calling out bad plays! It was a fun costume. Did y’all buy candy? I always end up eating half of the candy before the kids come by. Me and my sweet tooth. I grabbed some of my favorite candy sour Skittles, white chocolate and regular pumpkin-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

Drop Dead Gorgeous Looks on the Area Spring/Summer 2026 Runway

Good morning! So, happy Fashion Month. I’ve been trying to catch up and still quite busy handling the hack. Anyway, I’ve become quite a fan of Area through recent years and they did not disappoint for this past Spring/Summer 2026 New York Fashion Week show.

They have street style, elegance with a touch of opulence. I have a Good American denim dress that looks very much like the Area dress below but the dress is jazzed up with a train, fraying of fabric and a one-shoulder design. And, the above feathered white top is just stunning.

Have you been watching the shows?
