“Fashion is by definition a reflection of what is going on in the world. We live in a moment of total disruption as our tools change and the speed increases. Everyone is surfing a tsunami, trying to understand how to deal with waves of so much information, so many images. As always when in periods of change, clarity and quality become imperative.” – Diane von Furstenberg

The Most Amazing Indian Inspired Coat You’ve Ever Seen Plus This Sold Out BodySuit
While walking in Soho the other day, I stumbled upon the DSquared2 store and was blown away by their Fall 2015 Collection. You can see things on the runway but in person, it’s a whole different ball game. Anyway I came upon this amazing coat that is just to die for. They told me the coat was about 45K! The coat was just dripping in luxury goodness and I could only imagine how warm and fashionable you could be in the winter.
They also had this amazing bodysuit that is completely sold out! Ciara wore it for Vanity Fair Italia’s October issue and I guess everyone wanted them. I’ve got a find a pair of these!

Tom Ford Fashion Film with Lady Gaga for Spring 2016
I’m all here for a good fashion film, especially when it’s to debut a new collection. After enjoying my Tom Ford knee-high boots, I am a big fan. Lady Gaga is always popping up in some of the most creative spaces. “Instead of having a traditional show this season, I decided to try something new. I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online,” Tom says. Bravo, Tom, Bravo.
Construction Zone for Moschino Spring 2016 Milan Fashion Week
Creativity ran abound during the Milan Fashion Week Moschino show. A construction zone and cleanup was the inspiration. I just loved the accessories in this show! Who would ever have thought that those construction cones would make a great hat? Bravo for originality Moschino!

Coterie Spring 2016
I have to say that I was a little disappointed in what I found this year at ENK Coterie for Spring 2016. There wasn’t that much to choose from or of interest. The shows were cool but let’s be frank, some of the best we saw from New York Fashion Week was the Givenchy show. Anyway, I did stumble upon some cute finds, saw lots of color and sequins (everywhere). Sequins and fringe. That’s definitely going to be big for next year’s spring season.
I also came across Chiara Ferragni’s new shoe collection. It’s very colorful and playful. Some it was a bit too loud for me. Cupcakes and Cashmere launched a new clothing line for Spring 2016. I had no idea she was doing clothing but guess so. I couldn’t get photos though because they hadn’t been released yet but these samples were really cool.
Take a look at what I found!

Smaller, Standout Collections From New York Fashion Week SS 16
So New York Fashion Week has come and gone and I, of course, got a little cold trying to keep up with everything. But, anyway, I came across a few amazing collections and just had to share them with you.
- Alexandra Frida from the Netherlands seen at FTL Moda SS 16 Show at Grand Central. The makeup and hair was amazing and the bright colors are to die for
- Tanya Taylor. Didn’t see the presentation but I’m totally in awe of her designs. And you can pre-order them right now!!
- Gregorio Sanchez from Mexico seen at Art Hearts Fashion SS 16 Runway show. He successfully paired black and white tile patterns with neon, floral prints. Not easy to pull off. Bravo.
- Angel Sanchez. He just sent pretty, colorful, feminine dresses down the runway and well we probably could all use one of those Spring dresses.
Those are a few. Who were you enthralled by this New York Fashion Week?
Sincerely,

Black Leather Look at Harlem Fashion Row NYFW SS 16 Pop Up Shop
This past weekend I went to Harlem Fashion Row’s New York Fashion Week Shop, Brunch and Be Social event in an all black leather look. I wore a black top from Bailey 44, black leather shorts from Rag & Bone (similar and on sale here as well as these) and black leather heels by Jessica Simpson (similar here).
The venue was gorgeous and I ran into Harriette Cole who showed me some of her knit designs as well as Crystal Streets who had some amazing jewelry. McDonald’s sponsored the event and I got this amazing t-shirt designed by one of their student fashion design competitors. It was a great time!

Fave Looks So Far from New York Fashion Week SS 2016 (And Givenchy! *Swoon*)
These have to be some of my favorite looks so far from the New York Fashion Week Spring 2016 shows. I’ve seen lots of pink, blue, sequins and feathers on the runway and am just loving it. Tanya Taylor had an amazing show and the shoes were to die for! I have to say though Givenchy (watch it here) had to be my favorite show thus far. I feel bad for the model that really fell and bloodied herself but it didn’t stop a thing. The face makeup, jewelry and craftmanship that Givenchy displayed was just out of this world. Take a look at the show below if you haven’t seen it already and what do you think of the season so far?

Blue Clove Romper at the Beverly Johnson NYFW Book Release Party
Last week, Beverly Johnson hosted a New York Fashion Week Book Release Party at the Museum of the City of New York after a talk with Andre Leon Talley the night beforehand. I haven’t had the chance to read it yet but they say it’s very interesting! As we all know, she’s a trailblazer as the first African-American model to cover Vogue Magazine in August 1974. In any case, I had a great time! I wore a blue layered romper from Clove exclusively at Nordstrom and vintage blue Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
Sincerely,
