River Flows Down Yonder

Hey y’all! Check out this new painting that I did a few weeks ago. It is called “River Flows.”

I was in a funky mood when I did this painting. I rarely do abstract paintings but just felt creative. I was thinking of a river, a fire and a target. Art can be such great therapy.

What do you see when you look at “River Flows”?

Sincerely,

Decor at Moon Thai

This week I stopped by Moon Thai in Royal Palm Beach for a late lunch and was in complete awe of their decor. I just loved the golden figures along with the painting. I want to say she’s a geisha overlooking the restaurant. I just thought it was gorgeous, don’t you think?

I also really enjoyed the food. Had soft-shell crab sushi with conch on top as well as a few appetizers from their dim sum menu. This is a spot that I will definitely be going back to.

Jungle Fever

So I’ve been listening to Beyoncé’s latest album The Lion King: The Gift and have been loving the African beats. I love the international undertone of the album as the music takes me somewhere outside of the U.S. I was reminded of this photo shoot I did some time ago. I guess you can say I have jungle fever. Anyway, what’s your favorite song on the album and have you seen the movie yet?

Art Murals in Downtown West Palm Beach

So I was boppin around downtown West Palm Beach and came across this outdoor lounge area. I’m just in awe of the art murals. They give a space so much dimension. I’m not sure if all of these murals were done by Amanda Valdes but she did do the “Day of the Dead” woman above. One of these days perhaps I will get around to doing an art mural myself. I’m loving them, how about you?

Hailee Steinfeld in Viktor & Wolf’s “No Photos Please” Dress at The Met Gala

I remember seeing this “No Photos Please” dress by Viktor and Wolf on the Spring Couture 2019 runway. The dresses made a fashion statement even without the literal statements on the dresses. What a way to do tulle! I just loved the look and the camera she carried was a great note to add to the look.

What was your favorite dress of the evening?

Still Rockin That Blue Lip

Hey y’all! So I’m still rocking that blue lip. I’ve been on the grind with a new fabulous project including my artwork. It’s been challenging keeping up with everything but I am super stoked. How have you been? Are you excited for the Met Gala tonight? Tonight’s theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” Guess we’ll have to see how it is being interpreted.

Anyway, have an amazing week!

Black and White on the Runway for Fall/Winter 2019

Jeremy Scott

So black and white are a classic color combination. But who knew we would spot so much of the combo on the runway for the Fall/Winter 2019? While there has definitely been a good bit of color injected into the season, we’ve seen almost entire collections like Jeremy Scott feature the classic color combination. Longchamp, Area and more featured the color combo. See more below!

New Year, New Suit!

So how is your New Year going so far? Maybe you are trying to get a new job or start a business. Anyway, we all need that suit to dress to impress. I found this blue suit from Zara last year. It was chic and affordable, and to my knowledge didn’t rip off any specific designers. Yea I buy from Zara sometimes but you have to be careful with them. We all know fast fashion has a dark side and if you buy from them, you just need to be mindful of the lower cost production and designer knockoffs.

The suit seems to be sold out but I found these cropped blue Theory pants on sale at FARFETCH and this Milly blazer on sale at Revolve. I paired my suit with a pair of blue vintage Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. Check out more photos below!
