So, how was your weekend? I’ve been working at a store and enjoying it. It was raining quite a bit this weekend so I threw on my leather pearl chain boots and a black Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt dress. You can dress it up and down and I love pairing it with this t-shirt dress. I think they were inspired by these Chanel boots that did very well years ago. After work, I got my nails done and I am so excited to have found a new fabulous nail tech at Avalon Nails and Spa in West Palm Beach. Her name is Kayla and she just does an amazing job. So recently I stumbled upon a Karl Lagerfeld store at a nearby outlet mall and had no idea that the store was in West Palm Beach. Their items are cute and makes me wish that Karl was still alive. What a legend, right? From their button down tops to chain and pearl boots, the store will excite you about Karl’s legacy. Recently wore this Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt, Mother denim skirt (not similar but very cute Aknvas Rivington ruffled skirt here) , lace-up and Karl Lagerfeld pearl chain boots and a vintage black Rebecca Minkoff purse (similar here). The boots remind me of Chanel’s 2013 chain boots featured on the runway here.

Last night’s Met Gala red carpet did not disappoint! Many came dressed in black and white ensembles to honor the late Karl Lagerfeld but others like Salma Hayek above wore bright, fierce colors. I just loved Salma Hayek’s red Gucci dress and think she was definitely among the best dressed on the red carpet last night.
Gigi Hadid donned a gorgeous, custom-made Givenchy dress that was just jaw-dropping. These two looks along with Rihanna’s Valentino number, Janelle Monae’s Thom Browne outfit and Sydney Sweeney’s Miu Miu were among my favorites of the night. Scroll down to see more of these beautiful dresses.

Palm Trees. Sequins. Cigars. Old Cars. It was a Cuban dream at the Chanel Cruise 2016/17 Fashion Show yesterday. Chanel nailed their fashion show by incorporating all things that come to mind when thinking about Cuba but maintained their backbone. There was tweed and beautiful materials of course, but 1950s cars and cigar box handbags.
I loved it! In Florida, it’s basically resort wear all year long and this show definitely gave me some great inspiration. I definitely want to get over to Cuba one of these days. By the way, if you are in Cuba Karl Lagerfeld is showing more than 200 of his photographs at Factoria Habana until May 12th.

So, I just love the leather leggings and chain boots at the Paris Fashion Week Chanel Fall 2013 Runway Show. Chanel’s show was about the only one I have seen full of black, white and grey that completely compelled me. I always say that I only respect a fellow designer that inspires us with ingenuity or innovation. For a 100-year-old brand, we expect the best from Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld delivered this week.
