On My Weekend Bucket List: A Magnolia Cupcake
So yesterday I did some shooting in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and found myself starving. So, I stumbled into a cute little corner place that looked delicious Pies and Thighs. I don’t know if it’s the title or the thought of chicken thighs but it grabbed me. I had to wait outside and found a tiny spot on the bench but man, was it worth the wait. It’s been beautiful out these last summer days, so make sure to enjoy it! I rarely talk about food on the blog but I just have to rave about Pies and Thighs. So I had the Chicken and Waffles. I know, chicken and waffles. Everyone serves chicken and waffles. But they had buckwheat waffles with cinnamon butter and poached blueberries. I’ve dreamed about it ever since I had it.
Anyway, I’m all about grabbing a Magnolia Bakery cupcake (or two lol) this weekend. Have a great weekend!

Racer Cotton Dress with A Side Of Harlem Graffiti
The other day I wore my favorite ‘racer’ dress that is perfect for summer along with my grey Lanvin sneakers (similar gunmetal sneakers here) and grey Alexander Wang handbag. We found this amazing graffiti wall in Harlem. I just love graffiti, is it still illegal?

Russell Simmons, Dave Chappelle, Gayle King and More Attend the 16th Annual Art for Life Benefit
So this weekend I stayed in the city and even though the city was blazing hot, I had a great time. However, so many things were going on in the Hamptons like the 16th annual Art for Life benefit which was held in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. They had a roaring 20s theme and honored Dave Chappelle and several others.

Lace, Plaid and Sneaker Heels: Perfect DKNY Look

So I love this DKNY look. It’s the perfect balance of femininity and street. Sneaker heels set off the look and I just love this dress. Plaid reminds me of the 1990s and the lace just makes me feel fabulous. Of course, I’ve got my purple lipstick on. So they say not to smile that much for photos- who ever came up with this rule? Smile, no smile. Anyway, this dress is from the Fall but you can preorder this perfect plaid dress from Nordstrom right here.

Sabo Skirt Palm Trees and Neon Shorts for Ty Hunter’s No Basics Brunch
Yesterday, I went to the No Basics Brunch hosted by Ty Hunter at Corner Social in Harlem. The music was great and the food made my belly happy. There’s nothing like a good brunch to relax on a summer Saturday.
I wore vintage Sabo Skirt palm tree shorts, a black crop top and neon pumps (similar here). It was a perfect outfit for the near 90 degree weather! Ty Hunter hosted the brunch and I had the opportunity to chat fashion with him. He wore a sequined leopard print top that I just adored! You all know that I love my sequins.
Anyway, I had a great time. Check out the photos below!

Art. Fashion. Life. Go Fund Me
So it’s midsummer and there have been some lazy, hazy summer days recently in the city. While you may be taking your Fridays off and enjoying the warm weather, can you stop by my Go Fund Me page?
I’m hosting a fundraiser for art and fashion production supplies. One random donor will receive a special gift of an art print or a $50 gift certificate to Nordstrom!

Paint the Sky Blue
So I just left Florida and it was just so beautiful there. The sunset was something like form the land of milk and honey!
Anyway, I’m back in New York after a very comfortable flight with Delta Airlines. The past few flights I’ve had have been really turbulent so I can definitely appreciate a good pilot. It may just be a message for me to get my own private plane!
I wore this ASOS blue dress that I found from a consignment store downtown. Ask me and I’ll find out the name, don’t quite remember. But I love my blue dress! It has a cutout on the back and it’s great for summer travel.
