Proenza Schouler Masks for Mayor’s Fund

So I started wearing a mask to go out and run errands amidst the global coronavirus pandemic. And, as a New Yorker, my heart goes out to the essential workers and vulnerable people of the city. Proenza Schouler is supporting the relief efforts in the city with seven limited edition masks made from archival collection fabric. 100% of the net proceeds are being donated to the New York City Mayor’s Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund. So you can be cute, protect yourself and help the situation in New York at the same time. See more below!

Spring Forward: Cute Trench Coats

So I’m headed to New York next week. Yes, I know. Hopefully all will go well and I’ll stay healthy. But, anyway, I was thinking about the weather and well, it’s a great time to wear a cute trench coat for that in between can’t decide what season it is weather. With all that is going on in the world right now, retail therapy may be just what you need. I found a few coats that I just had to share.

  1. Sam Edelman Green Double-Breasted Trench Coat $180

          2. Simone Rocha Frilled Trench Coat $2815

3. Alice and Olivia Monique Pleated-Back Trench Coat $660

Funky Graffiti Wall

IMG_0946

I love graffiti. There’s just something so rebellious and beautiful about it. I recently came across this door downtown and just thought it was really cool. New York is a dirty, grungy city but this is the kind of beauty that you can randomly find on the street sometimes.

Have a great day and don’t forget to check out some of my new paintings here.

Three Snow Boots for Winter 2016

CZbbpKZVAAEhh6Z.jpg-large

So, I’m snowed in like everyone else in the Northeast right now. Jonas is not exactly a blizzard here in New York but it’s definitely dumping a lot of snow on us. I mean, I can’t even see outside too well because of this snow. Anyway, this kind of weather calls for some great snow boots. And why not be cute while you stay warm this winter? Check out these boots below and even more winter accessories here.

Biker Jackets, New York Street Style and Fur on the Runway for Nolcha Fashion Week Fall 2014

PBN_8034

Last week I also caught some of Nolcha Fashion Week. It was a frenzy backstage but as usual everything came together beautifully. I really liked designs by Christian Benner, Leka, and L Catherine London. I love a good statement jacket and Christian Benner and Leka’s biker jackets scream New York City. I was also able to catch up with Christian Benner later and get a closer look at his jackets which have full rock star status. See more photos below!

Backstage Pics at Tracy Reese Fall 2014 Show

TR_FALL2014_BACKSTAGE (44)

This week Tracy Reese showed her Fall 2014 Collection full of feathers, sequins, fuzzy fabric and chunky sweaters. It was my kind of comfortable clothing collection. The move to comfort is here to stay in fashion guys. I don’t know if it’s the horrible winter weather we’ve experienced or what but relaxed clothing with a bit of shimmer is what to wear for the winter. Hey, like Marc Jacobs says, happy days are here again.

See more backstage photos including Daisy Lewellyn from the Bravo TV show Blood, Sweat and Heels below!

Are You Ready for Some Football? Yea.. Five Favorite Couture Fashion Helmets

The Superbowl is coming to New York! And what better way to mix fashion with football than with some completely fabulous helmets! If my Patriots had won yesterday, I might’ve been a bit more enthused to grab one of these lovely helmets but hey if you’re a Seahawks or Broncos fan, you might want this as the perfect accessory for the Superbowl. Hell, after Richard Sherman’s “we the best” rant, I might be excited enough to try one. What’s your favorite?

Check out the CFDA and NFL Foundation auction until February 5th here.

Jay-Z does “Picasso Baby” as Performance Art at the Pace Gallery

jay-z-picasso-baby-1

Yesterday, Jay-Z was a work of art. Performance art, that is. He performed Picasso Baby and interacted with the crowd for six hours at the Pace Gallery.

Jay-Z raps about his appreciation for the art world. Here’s a snippet of the lyrics;

Sleeping every night next to Mona Lisa
The modern-day version
With better features
Yellow Basquiat in my kitchen corner
Go ahead lean on that **** Blue
You own it

Good times. Check out video here.

Absolut Open Canvas Art Event in Brooklyn

DSC00253

Talk about street art. This past weekend I stopped by the Absolut Vodka Open Canvas Event in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where artists Olek, Katsu and others transformed a whole street into an art display. Ice sculptures, knitted bikes, and graffiti filled the street and it was kind of amazing.

It was also really hot outside! Summer finally hit New York and I stayed cool in a white bustier, a white lace skirt and jewelry from various places including I-Ella’s List and Lea Jefferson. Absolut Vodka stirred up some great cocktails and I was able to meet Olek and her friend, the first person I’ve ever spotted wearing the new Google glasses! Check out more photos from the event below.
