Hey there! So designing this collection was amazing and I am so proud of myself. As you may know, I designed a small spring/summer collection inspired by my Sunset on a Florida Parking Lot painting. Well, this is the last call before I make it an archived collection.
In these photos, I am wearing the Sunset on a Florida Parking Lotskirt as well as bandeau top. They are both on sale and the sequin denim are great for the Fall. And, don’t worry about me, they always say “this too shall pass.”
So not too long ago I went out wearing that Leau black romperand had a great time dancing to salsa. I love the summer because we can all let our hair down and enjoy the night without having to wear a coat. Unfortunately, that night I was attacked by a man in an alleged racially motivated incident. Most of the time, police are there to protect you but they aren’t perfect. Subsequently, I started hearing and seeing all kinds of things. I ended up being forced to a hospital where they did not protect me from COVID-19. So now I am recovering and contemplating the fate of this world. Been listening to Solange Knowles “Weary”song from her A Seat at the Table album.
Can you believe something like this would happen in 2021? Have you ever been mistreated like this? And what do you think of the world and our universe today?
Good morning and happy Monday! So I have been quite busy working recently and with the COVID vaccine I feel a little more free in this pandemic. I have been mostly working from home because of COVID but have recently started going into the office a bit more. A great summer work look I put together is this old white Bebe blazer, a silk blouse along with a vintage Alice and Olivia skirt (similar here), Steve Madden purse (similar here) and Steve Madden “Kenley” heels. So have you been going back into an office?
Hey there! So I’m excited to celebrate my birthday this week and wanted to share that many of the items in the M2: “Sunset on a Florida Parking Lot” collectionare now 30% off! I loved this painting and wanted to create a collection inspired by the artwork. Check out the sale here and let me know which items are your fave!
So I’ve been listening to Beyoncé’s latest album The Lion King: The Giftand have been loving the African beats. I love the international undertone of the album as the music takes me somewhere outside of the U.S. I was reminded of this photo shoot I did some time ago. I guess you can say I have jungle fever. Anyway, what’s your favorite song on the album and have you seen the movie yet?
So sometimes you just want to sketch on cardboard. Flowers are so beautiful. I was motivated to sketch some on something that could be easily thrown away. It’s like wearing grungy sneakers with a lace skirt…a lovely contradiction of sorts that actually works.
So I’ve made a big move. I’m now living in Florida but while still in New York I got together with Mariya for some shots. The weather was warm (hence the Tanya Taylor crop top that I found on sale). It’s hot in Florida so I can wear this outfit almost all year!
