River Flows Painting

Good evening everyone! I just added my River Flows painting to the site. I created it last year but hadn’t put it up. I just love the color blue and went on an abstract tip to create this painting. I love the ocean and water so simply recreated a bird’s eye view of land. The black is a target and the red is a dock. Don’t ask how these things come to me but I hope you enjoy. Oh, and if you really love it, there are prints, pillows, masks and more (as seen below) that you can buy here.

Sincerely,

M2 The Making

Hi everyone! I want to introduce M2 to you. It was to come out a little earlier this Spring/Summer but with the virus I waited around to introduce it. If you’ve seen my latest post, I have been going through a lot but one must keep the faith. These clothes are beautiful and inspired by my “Sunset on a Florida Parking Lot” painting. They are available in different sizes here. We worked hard down in Miami earlier this year and I hope you love them!

Scorn

Happy Saturday. This sketch came to me recently. I don’t know if it’s other worlds speaking to me or just an idea. I am unfortunately a victim of domestic violence and I heard it was on the rise with the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Couples should not hit, threaten, rape, assault or exhaust one another. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely believe in self-defense and justice. The angry emoji shows some of the anger and resentment that I have. But, hey, we are all a work in progress.

We all must remember that intimate partner and family relationships are precious. And, they should be treated that way.

What do you think about the rise in domestic violence and how do you like the drawing? Let me know in the comments and have a good rest of your weekend.

Sincerely,

”Fashionably-Late”

Paige Denim Overalls and Walk to The Beach Face Mask

Happy Friday! I know there’s a lot going on in the country right now and life can be overwhelming, but you have made it to the weekend. Best to take good care of yourself, whatever you have to do.

In order to help keep you safe and healthy, I’ve developed some cute masks that have found their way to the artwork shop. Yesterday I wore my Paige Denim overalls (similar SJYP here) and Walk to the Beach face mask to run a few errands. Why not collect several masks and enjoy wearing them with different outfits?

Sincerely,

River Flows Down Yonder

Hey y’all! Check out this new painting that I did a few weeks ago. It is called “River Flows.”

I was in a funky mood when I did this painting. I rarely do abstract paintings but just felt creative. I was thinking of a river, a fire and a target. Art can be such great therapy.

What do you see when you look at “River Flows”?

Sincerely,

Art Murals in Downtown West Palm Beach

So I was boppin around downtown West Palm Beach and came across this outdoor lounge area. I’m just in awe of the art murals. They give a space so much dimension. I’m not sure if all of these murals were done by Amanda Valdes but she did do the “Day of the Dead” woman above. One of these days perhaps I will get around to doing an art mural myself. I’m loving them, how about you?

Charcoal Flower Sketch on Cardboard

Hey there.

Hope you’re week is off to a good start.

So sometimes you just want to sketch on cardboard. Flowers are so beautiful. I was motivated to sketch some on something that could be easily thrown away. It’s like wearing grungy sneakers with a lace skirt…a lovely contradiction of sorts that actually works.

Anyway, enjoy!

Exclusive Walk To The Beach Merchandise

Hey Everyone! I’ve had a lot of things going on recently. But I wanted to announce some new Walk To The Beach merchandise available on my RedBubble art shop. If you haven’t seen some of my artwork, make sure to view some of it here. Beaches are beautiful so what better way to celebrate nature than to wear it on a t-shirt or a cell phone case?

Summer might be over but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the sun!

Sincerely,

Beautiful Mural in Miami

So while in Miami this week I stumbled upon a beautiful mural of a woman’s face with flowers in her hair at this hole in the wall café. Forgive me I forgot to take note of the name of the spot but it was a café neatly nestled in between some of the fabric stores downtown. I was in complete awe of the painting and have to say that every time I go to Miami I find some amazing artwork. What do you think?

Sincerely,

“Fashionably-Late”
