Hot Pink Good American

So, how are you and happy hump day. I just love this Good American combo outfit of pants, a blazer and this tube dress. Who said that work clothes can’t be colorful and fun? I’ve actually been doing some continuing education classes required for some of my financial services licenses and enjoy wearing this combo that can double as a party dress too. Khloe Kardashian definitely had the right idea for this suit that can go from day to night. And, these Good American pieces are black owned and founded. What professional clothes have you been wearing?

Artifical Intelligence and The World of Fashion

So I’m sure you’ve seen the new AI images or heard about the usage. From generating nude images of celebrities like Taylor Swift to artists that use it as a creative expression, it just might takeover the planet. Instead of hiring models, AI images can suffice for ad campaigns and e-commerce models. The images pictured here are from the brand Stradivarius, who wanted to exaggerate the real collection. Is this the end of real photography and models? Only time will tell. And the government will have to find a way to deal with AI nudes that are being generated as well. What do you think?

Sexiest Man Alive: Painted My Boo

What’s going on? My boo is the sexiest man alive and I was inspired to paint him. He’s a beautiful soul and as every couple has problems, we have our disagreements. But we have a companionship that has developed for over 20 years. He’s always been there for me and yea, I love him. It gets no better than this. Are y’all in a relationship?

Spring Bottega Veneta Fishnet Heels

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Spring is here and I’m loving the weather.  I recently copped these cute, green Bottega Veneta fishnet heels that are just perfect for the season. I’ve had this Good American dress for a bit and have actually become a fan of the brand. It’s comfortable, lightweight and stretches! Here are a few cute, similar Bottega Veneta heels that are available through Nordstrom. Enjoy!

Puffy Knee High Boots at Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2024 Show

So, how are yall doing? I came across these puffy knee high boots checking out the Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2024 show. I would totally wear these, they definitely make a statement. The show really features some futuristic looks that remind me of an upscale Star Wars movie. What do you think, would you wear these boots?

Purple Workout Romper That Doubles…

Whats going on? How was your weekend? So I’ve been working out trying to lose a few pounds and grabbed this purple workout romper from Fashion Nova not too long ago. I just love it, it’s very comfortable, stylish and workout/sweat friendly. Purple is my favorite color as you may be able to tell and the romper doubles as a playsuit that looks good with cute heels or a bag (Steve Madden pictured here). I’ve been doing two workouts a day a few times a week and have found myself in athleisure quite often. Working out always centers me and I think everyone should do it for their well-being. Have you been in the gym?

Odd Silhouettes and Shapes at Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2024

So, this fashion month Alexander McQueen showcased some strong, odd shapes and silhouettes on the runway for Fall/Winter 2024. I’m just loving the experimentation with shapes- widened hips, different necklines and broadened shoulders. Below shows a great padded shoulder and broadened shoulders from the men and women’s Spring 2024 show. And I just love some of the oversized sweaters and coats that were on the runway as well. What do you think? Would you try wearing any of these shapes?

Karl Lagerfeld Pearl Chain Boots + Denim Skirt

So recently I stumbled upon a Karl Lagerfeld store at a nearby outlet mall and had no idea that the store was in West Palm Beach. Their items are cute and makes me wish that Karl was still alive. What a legend, right? From their button down tops to chain and pearl boots, the store will excite you about Karl’s legacy. Recently wore this Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt, Mother denim skirt (not similar but very cute Aknvas Rivington ruffled skirt here) , lace-up and Karl Lagerfeld pearl chain boots and a vintage black Rebecca Minkoff purse (similar here). The boots remind me of Chanel’s 2013 chain boots featured on the runway here.

Future of E-Commerce

So, years ago I said I wanted my own brick and mortar store to sell some of my designs and art merchandise. Well, I am not upset that I never opened a store (not to say it might not be in my future) but for now, e-commerce is great.

Did you know that by 2026, 24% of retail purchases will be done online?  The global e-commerce market is expected to total over $8.1 trillion dollars by 2026. No one can argue that online shopping isn’t easy even though folks abandon their shopping carts over shipping fees or slow delivery times. Amazon has the highest market share of all e-commerce accounting for about 38% of all online sales. Next come Walmart, eBay and Target.1

I’m almost positive that 2020’s Covid epidemic also boosted online sales as many people tried to avoid interacting with others. And, of course, Cyber Monday and Black Friday seriously grows every year. Last year, Adobe Analytics reported a record $9.8 billion in Black Friday sales and $12.4 billion for Cyber Monday.2 Anyone selling anything these days would be foolish not to also sell online.

Now, don’t get me wrong, the in-store experience will always be there. Trying things on, having a sales associate fetch a different size or help style you will always have its appeal. But as we go about this thing called life, I would have to say, getting a package in the mail excites me just as much or even more than going into stores. What do you prefer?

Sincerely,
